The issuance of apostilles and certification of higher education documents is carried out by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). This institution is responsible for verifying the authenticity of documents issued by universities.
NAWA may also certify original documents, including diplomas, their supplements, and certificates confirming the completion of a master’s degree.

An apostille can only be issued for documents that contain a complete set of required details. In particular, they must include the signature of an authorized person along with their full name and surname (or a stamp containing this information), as well as their official position at the university.
In addition, diplomas or certificates must be signed by their holder. If these requirements are not met, the application will not be accepted and the documents will be returned without processing.
