Civil status certificates are documents confirming each entry made in the civil status register. The entry in the book is made by an official. The marriage certificate confirms the marriage. For a marriage certificate document to be recognized as authentic outside the country, an apostille may be required, which is a confirmation of the authenticity of the official’s signature and seal. The process of obtaining a copy of the marriage certificate is carried out by submitting an appropriate application to any registry office in Poland, with the waiting time for issuing a copy usually ranging from 1 to 7 business days.
